Caiman Testimonials

---- 2009-07 ----
We are an 11-man team.  Our unit is BTT (Border Transition Team) USMC stationed here on Iraq on Camp Ramadi. We had 3 Caimans when we first started.  One was lost due to a combat-related issue.

The Caiman is a very nice truck and I love it a lot compared to the other ones.  I’m the mechanic on the team and by far the Caiman in my opinion is the best and the ride is nice. It’s the Cadillac of MRAPs.

[I want] to say Thank You to you and all your employees that assemble the Caiman MRAP. My crew and I were victims of a vehicle borne IED and I am glad to say we all survived, minor injuries but everyone is alive.

The vehicle I am talking about is truck number NZ1SJW nickname "ROXY." I was the driver of this vehicle. If I am correct she came off of the assembly line around Jan of '08.

To me this truck was the "Cadillac" of MRAPS. I had the opportunity of driving a different variant but nothing compared to it. Needless to say she is gone, but she did what she was designed to do and that was to keep us all alive.

I would appreciate it if you could thank all your employees on a fine job on my behalf and my truck crew.

Thank You.

Sincerely,
Juan

----- 2008-12 ----
Our unit is currently in Iraq and using over 60 of your MRAP CAIMAN vehicles for our daily combat patrols.  Earlier this month, one of our patrols had the misfortune of being attacked on two consecutive missions.

The first attack destroyed the CAIMAN that protected each of the Soldiers inside.  As soon as we refit the next CAIMAN, the same crew received another direct hit on our next trip out.  Again, they all came out without a scratch and they are still driving the same CAIMAN, now with a few battle scars.

This vehicle has proven itself to all of the Soldiers within our unit.  Their confidence in the equipment now matches their confidence in accomplishing the missions.

Thank you for your support,

Chris
